501(c)3

Looks like the IRS is working it's way through investigations of 501(c)3 entities that may have crossed the line last fall by supporting specific candidates. One of the main targets that could lose their tax-exempt status is the NAACP (see article). The IRS has investigated over 60 groups, comprised of mostly charities and churches.

In a semi-related story, a pastor from Illinois got a visit from the FBI for preaching against abortion and homosexuality.
