Blogging has been slow around cyberworld of late. The blogs that I visit daily for encouragment have not been as productive as usual. Let's keep it up people!

Lindsay recently commented on the negativity of the majority of my earlier posts. I would just like to respond (or declare) that after quitting the band, my outlook on life is so much different and I am in a sense a new man.

So although it is part of my past, it is not a part that I prize. I would now much rather focus on my family and the work that GOD is doing in our lives. I do not say that to imply that I was not focused on my family or God during those months, but I was distracted. So I have decided to leave the posts intact as a testimony of God's grace.

I would be wise to spend more time demonstrating my doctrine with my life, then to spend my time making sure I can debate it.

My wife is awesome. She has provided me with an office supply of gummy dinos, sour gummy worms, honey roasted peanuts and granola bars. Work is going well!

A recent criticism I have received is that I am embracing a reformed system of theology because I have "deducted" it from books of men (as opposed to a supposed "inductive" method.) It has become obvious to me through my study of Dispensationalism, however, that no one could ever hold to that view without being taught it. It is not something that a new Christian would rationally develop as they are reading through the Holy Scriptures. My present view of Scripture was developed as a result of my years of reading the Word (inductively, as they would say, because that is the natural way) as a growing child of God. I read reformed books as a result of my conclusions, not as an impetus to them. One must stretch to learn the teachings of men they admire or respect in order to embrace a teaching such as dispensationalism. Just my take on the issue.

Honestly, it's hard to put much time into something I know no one looks at...that's o.k. though.

I have been studying a lot of things lately. I started what I believe will be a drawn out study of baptism. I am reading through the OT. I have begun a study on interpreting the OT where I examine every NT verse that quotes the OT. In just a few days it has been very revealing and helpful towards my last study - Dispensationalism. I honestly don't know how anybody can believe this who has ever studied the bible (and I know there are many brilliant, godly men who do). Here's a good overview: http://www.gospelcom.net/hsc/ETC/Volume_Five/Issue_Two/Ekklesia.php

So much to do, so much to learn.

My Thoughts on Prayer
Our Father which art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts
