I am having no luck in the JMP search. I have bid on 4 already. I was outbid on 2 of them, and the reserve was not met on the other two. It's only been a few days and I'm already impatient. The CD covers came in yesterday and look pretty good. Just got to get the mastering wrapped up.

I'm making a return to my roots lately. Breaking out the Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, and Jimi. Also going back to Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins and the like. I'm getting sick of the emo thing and am ready to play some good ol' rock n roll! I'm not ready to put away my Thursday though, don't worry. Sold my Line 6 equipment this week. Looking for a Marshall JMP, yeah baby.

Can't believe it's been more than a week since I last wrote. Still feeling incompotent. We had 'Coffeehouse Night' last night, although there was no coffee until about 9:15. Jason and I played a couple Ann Arbour songs on acoustic. There was six bands, it was fun. Happy Kreter is a super nice guy, and an excellent acousti musician. It was a fun night!

Do you ever have days where you just feel incompotent? Today is one of those days for me. I just feel like I shouldn't even be working here.

The coffee is good this morning. I have email at the house again on a temporary computer. I am going to put my amp and pedal board up for sale on Ebay on Monday. I want to get a Marshall JMP 100, JTM 100, or even a JCM 800. Time to get rid of the Line 6 gear, except my cab that I will definitely be keeping. Not much else going on at the moment.

So the show last night was interesting....Will was in trouble so he couldn't go. We got the drummer from Street Corner Medix to try and fill in. He had never even heard us before. He listened to the demo the whole ride up and attempted to memorize the songs. Well, that didn't work too well. The guys in Cool Hand Luke were pretty nice, especially the guitarist, Chris. We all had a good time hanging out though (Jason, Chris the drummer, Dave, Matt, and me.) On the way home at about one in the morning, Matt was driving, Dave was in the front, and Chris, Jason and I were laying in the back sleeping. I whispered to Dave and Matt that on the count of three they should scream. I counted to three and threw myself on Jason and Chris as we screamed and Matt tapped the brakes. They were totally freaked out and it was the highlight of my evening. That and the great photo-op that we practiced four times in front of the Fast Trac only to find out my Polaroid was empty. It would have been a great picture. I had a great time though, and I love those guys. The traveling is the best part of being on the road anyways. Even if the total trip was only 14 hours.

Everyone always talks about when you're in a band how great it is to meet other bands and stuff. I haven't really met anybody that nice or had any great discussions with other band people. Maybe it's my own fault. Most of the people are stuck in their own little worlds. I have met a couple of really nice people from local bans though, actually.

I like Blindside. They have a new album out called "About A Burning Fire." It is good. It actually brings me back to about 1995 or so. The album is very grunge-esque with heavy guitar riffs and the like. The also try some other stuff that I think is a bit daring, and I like that.

I have a total vision for an all-ages venue, coffeehouse type thing that I have had for about four years now. I am just praying that the Lord will release me to do it soon. It could be very community driven, with local bands allowed to book and put on shows. It could also be a rehearsal space. Venues treat local bands like dirt and it's ridiculous. If you don't bring in alcohol sales they dont want you. Places like the masquerade steal the money that your audience is trying to give you. Local bands should just boycott these places and play at their own places. I guess I support the DIY revolution. Eventually touring bands will want to play at a place like I envision, because that's where the kids will be. I'm getting ahead of myself though.

Oh yeah...my computer at home crashed. When I turn it on it says:

F1 to reboot F2 to enter setup

or something of that nature. Definitely not good.

Ann Arbour is no longer making the trek to Georgia. Personal issues involving the drummer have prevented us from being able to go. I am hoping to still make the trip to Jacksonville, possibly with an alternate drumer.

I just placed an 'Out of Order' sign on a busted toilet. Isn't that a weird phrase? A toilet is out of order, what order? The order of the world, meaning something is not right? I should have just put 'Not Working'. Or even put a quaifier, like 'Not Working Properly.'

I'm back from my haul around the REAL south. It was interesting. I'm leaving again on Wenesday to go to JAX, Atlanta, and Columbus with the band. Also making a stop in Birmingham for work. There's actually a lot going on right now. Actually too much to talk about. Peace and blessings to you, Amen.

Yo yo. I am in New Orleans right now, stopped over on a business trip. Not much to report. CD will probably not be ready in time, but the trip to GA will will definitely be fun. My rental car is an Oldsmobile Alero. Oh, I just bought a new house, my middle-class life has officially begun, time to 'focus on the career.'

Wow...Martha Stewart found guilty on all counts.

All the trees were washed, with April rain. And the moon in the meadow, took darling Loraine.

What an idiot Kurt Cobain was. If he had stuck around he could have had a great life. If he didn't want to be a celebrity, he could have just stopped making albums. He probably would have become an amazing producer making tons of money holed away in some Seattle studio. Good thinking Kurt. Props to Dave Grohl for continuing to make great, way better than Nirvana, music.

I love the Demon Hunter video for "Infected." It's not new or anything, just really cool looking. I love that guy's beard.

We are having a few of the songs re-mixed tonight. It is definitely an indie album, but the more I listen to it, the more catchy it sounds. It grows on you for sure. I am very pleased with the song crafting.

I think I am in the market for a tube amp. If anyone has one they are looking to sell, let me know. That also means I'll probably be selling my Line 6 Flextone XL and the pedalboard as well. If anyone is interested, make me an offer.

I wish the "scene" here in Tampa was better. I mean, I'm sure most everyone says that abut their city, unless you're in NYC or something, so lump me in. I don't think Ann Arbour will be playing out on the road much after this summer, which means it'll be mostly local shows. I want to be in a great local band, the kind that everyone goes out to see when they play. We should start playing more artsy, daring stuff that people respect and want to support. I think the major problem is the venues, and the lack of god ones. Brass Mug is just kind of trashy and metal looking, masquerade rapes the artists that play there but stealing all the money, orpheum doesn't do local shows, and theres like three other venues to divide everyone's attention. I guess we need a god DIY type venue where people want to hang out and feel like a part of something. Another reason the scene is dead is because of all the loser hardcore kids who insist on beating each other up to prove their pseudo-manliness. Lame. I just want to exist in a place where there is good music and good people who actually support it. I'm sure everyone can imagine my hatred for mainstream radio and the trash that is played on it. (Wow, am I turning into an Indie elitist or what, scary! Please forgive me.)

OK, I finally have the CD. It is not mastered yet. If you want to know my reaction, please refer to my post on 2.04.2004. There are now demo versions of "Seeking Face" and "Hopeless Perfection" up HERE.

I think we are scrapping the jewel case packaging, and going just with the artsy cardboard packaging. It will have aaron's artwork on the inside folder. I think aaron looks so much better than Aaron for some reason. It is a good lower-case name. I think I am nw catching a cold, what is the deal? Did you know that workers in offices with no windows take off 25% more sick days? Keep that in mind.

Obviously I have been in a very strange mood the past few days, but it's none of your business.

My guitar is a 2003 Gibson Custom Silverburst. I also have a 1996 Gibson Epiphone Cherry Red SG.

Nothing much to say., practice tonight, and then we are going to see The Passion. I got some new shiny shoes yesterday. My world is changing around me, and I hate not being the one who is making the changes.

My Thoughts on Prayer
Our Father which art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts
