Back from the Cold
I am back from my short trip to Washington DC, where it was very cold for this Florida boy. I had so many layers on it was ridiculous. I had brought the very first two books of the Chronicles of Narnia to read on my trip (which wasn't enough, I should have brought three), but I thankfully found this post by Chad about the order of the books (and Doug Wilson). So I read The Lion, The Witch and The Wardbrobe first, and then I had to read The Magician's Nephew next, since it was the only other one I had brought (Chad promised it wouldn't mess things up too much). I had a great time reading them. I plan on having a reading time for my neighborhood soon, where I will invite all the children in my neighborhood to come listen to the books. I first have to go around and meet all the parents and after awhile I will invite them to bring their children over to read the books.

Ooooh! Great idea! Our boys "big" Christmas present a year ago was the full Chronicles of Narnia set (and a play gym.) We started reading them right after Christmas, and the boys loved them. I think we'll reread them after we finished with the Hobbit.
